Snatch UP Jobs in New York, NY is hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the technical direction of an AI-driven cyber security venture and grow a team of researchers and engineers.

You will translate business goals into robust engineering plans, set engineering culture, and oversee architecture across firmware emulation, exploitation, and operational delivery, working on high-impact offensive security projects with national security relevance.

Qualifications

• Technical leadership in cyber R&D, vulnerability research, Windows internals, embedded systems or implant development.
• Offensive security research experience in national security agencies, military cyber units or defence contractors with similar work.
• Strong technical credibility built through hands-on research and engineering.
• A record of recruiting, retaining and developing skilled technical teams.
• Sound judgment on technical risk, prioritisation and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering strategy, execution, standards and priorities.
• Hire, lead and develop security researchers and engineers.
• Guide architecture across firmware emulation, exploitation and operational delivery.
• Work with the founders to turn business objectives into technical plans.
• Set a practical engineering culture and make clear decisions on risk and resources.
