Job summary

Duet is seeking a VP of Engineering in New York City to own the technical vision and lead a growing data and engineering team. You’ll set the architecture across backend, data pipelines, and customer-facing surfaces, balancing speed and durability at an early-stage company.

You’ll hire, mentor, and elevate the engineering organization while delivering scalable, self-serve software for NP-led clinics. You'll work closely with founders to turn a data foundation into product-ready platforms,

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production web apps with ownership of large tech domains.
• Strong backend and data engineering instincts for ingesting and serving data.
• Experience building data-intensive customer-facing apps.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Full-stack capability with backend at center of gravity.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and modern data tooling.
• Experience managing an engineering team and mentoring growth.

Responsibilities

• Define technical roadmap and architecture across the stack.
• Build data-intensive products and dashboards for clinicians.
• Translate workflows into durable software abstractions.
