Head of Engineering - New York, NY (Hybrid)

A YC-backed and Series A funded fintech startup whose AI-powered platform has captured 1M+ users and achieved $6M ARR last year are looking for a Head of Engineering to join their team.

What will the role be doing:

As our founding Head of Engineering, you'll be the technical leader responsible for building and scaling the core platform.

• Architect and build core features (AI-powered personalization, auto-invest, onboarding) while making critical decisions on platform architecture, database design, and infrastructure scaling
• Define engineering standards and build a world-class team as the team scale from 10 to 50+ people, establishing a culture of rapid iteration and high execution
• Work directly with founders on product decisions, represent engineering in board meetings, and contribute to company strategy and roadmap planning

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience building consumer-facing products at scale
• Full-stack expertise with experience in mobile development (iOS/Android) and backend systems
• 0-to-1 product experience - you've built something from scratch that real users adopted
• Fintech/financial services background preferred but not required
• High-growth startup experience - you've thrived in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
• Experience with our Tech Stack: Swift + SwiftUI (iOS), expanding to Android. Node.js + Express + TypeScript. MongoDB with Redis for caching
