Job summary

Evotec is seeking a Head of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) for the US. You will own the EHS strategy across US operations, lead a high-performing team, and align with global EHS governance.

The role sits on the US leadership team and reports to the SVP, Global Head EHS. Based in Seattle with responsibilities across the West and East Coasts, you will drive governance, risk controls, and compliance with US legislation, while shaping industrial hygiene and occupational health programs as

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and line management experience in US EHS.
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical (GMP), manufacturing or engineering environments advantageous.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required.
• Experience in a global, matrixed EHS team is advantageous.
• Knowledge of human factors in Health & Safety (e.g., HOP, Safety II, New View) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the US EHS strategy and governance across operations.
• Co-create the Global EHS Vision & Plan and cascade it throughout US operations.
• Empower and lead the US EHS team with clear objectives aligned to business needs.
• Drive US improvements with a focus on learning and risk controls.
• Oversee EHS programs including chemical safety, manufacturing, and emergency response.
• Maintain EHS risk management systems and perform audits/inspections.
