Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager for Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Explosives Safety at their Arkansas campus development.

You will design and implement the EH&S program from construction through full production, coordinating with Pine Bluff Arsenal and regulatory partners. You will lead safety, process safety management, and occupational health initiatives, building a high-performing team and ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of EH&S experience, including at least 5 years in ammunition, explosives, or energetics manufacturing.
• Experience with QD siting and explosives site plans.
• Working knowledge of OSHA PSM, RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act.
• Experience standing up or expanding an EH&S program at a new/greenfield facility.
• U.S. person per 22 CFR 120.62 due to access to export-controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Own the explosives safety program for all AE operations, including handling, processing, storage, and waste.
• Lead QD analysis and site plan development; coordinate review with Army and DoD safety offices.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/Army explosives safety standards and related regulations.
• Build and maintain OSHA Process Safety Management program and related risk assessments.
• Oversee site safety and health programs during construction and operations.
• Lead EH&S team development as the campus scales from pre-construction to production.
