Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Department Leader for the Naval Power / Naval Air Missiles (NP/NAM) Department in Tucson, AZ. The role leads ~150 engineers, guiding design, integration, verification and test to ensure mission-ready solutions.

Responsibilities include strategic direction, staffing, reviews, and collaboration across domains to optimize test strategies, proposals, and capability development within the Effectors Center. Excellent leadership and communication required.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in STEM or equivalent and 14+ years of experience.
• Advanced degree plus 12+ years preferred.
• Experience in system engineering, integration, test and verification.
• Experience in a technical leadership role with direct reports or multiple programs.
• Experience in a functional leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction for the Department on Systems Engineering and Test personnel.
• Manage resource planning and staffing for current and future programs.
• Chair Design and Test Reviews and collaborate with domain engineers to define test strategies.
• Support BOEs, proposals and engineering reviews.
• Develop and improve SE&T capabilities to reduce cycle time and cost.
