Job summary

Maine Township High School District 207 is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to drive IT strategy, data analytics, infrastructure, security, and digital innovation across the district. The role focuses on aligning technology with educational goals and providing expert guidance to district leaders.

The CTO will build strong relationships with building leaders, lead committees, and ensure effective use of technology while optimizing shared services and economies of scale.

Qualifications

• 10 years of technology experience with minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
• CTO or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
• Classroom teaching experience preferred but not required.
• CoSN CETL certification preferred.
• Advanced degree in CS, engineering, or business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an IT vision and strategy and lead execution with internal and external partners.
• Oversee software system selection, rollout, and support for key district systems.
• Promote ethical, safe, and responsible use of technology including digital citizenship.
• Align technical architecture and investments with district objectives.
• Prepare and forecast IT budgets in coordination with the Chief School Business Official.
• Build relationships with district stakeholders to understand issues and opportunities.
• Lead change management and effective communication within the organization.
• Advance data analytics to support data-informed decisions.
