Job summary

Nixon Peabody LLP seeks a Director of eDiscovery to lead the firm’s eDiscovery strategy, operations, technology and service delivery. The role oversees the full lifecycle of ESI, from preservation to presentation, and requires strong leadership and collaboration with attorneys, clients and vendors.

The position offers remote work flexibility and involves budgeting, vendor management, and advancing the firm’s eDiscovery capabilities across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years eDiscovery experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm or service provider.
• Experience with litigation case management is preferred.
• Industry certifications preferred (RCA/ACEDS/RCE/RCM).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of legal technology experts.
• Drive the firm’s eDiscovery function, workflows, standards and protocols.
• Advise attorneys and clients on eDiscovery strategy across matters.
• Monitor developments in eDiscovery law, technology and information governance.
• Prepare project documentation including vendor specs and reporting.
