Job summary

Varo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution of consumer lending products. You will drive the full lifecycle from ideation to launch, collaborating with Engineering, Credit Risk, and Marketing to deliver digital lending experiences.

Responsibilities include defining roadmaps, driving development, and leveraging insights to inform improvements. The role also emphasizes risk management, compliance, and strong cross-functional coordination in a dynamic fintech

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in consumer lending or FinTech.
• Proven success in launching and growing digital lending products.
• Deep understanding of the consumer lending lifecycle, credit risk principles, and risk analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and champion the strategy and roadmap for key consumer lending products (e.g., Personal Loans, Lines of Credit).
• Drive end-to-end product development from requirements to launch and optimization.
• Leverage market research and customer analysis to inform product improvements.
• Define KPIs, monitor product performance, and ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Credit Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing to enable delivery.
• Identify new features and run experiments (A/B testing) to improve underwriting and customer experience.
