Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Director of Device Project Management to lead a global team ensuring timely delivery of device programs that combine product development with CMC alignment. The role collaborates across Quality, Regulatory, Drug Development, and Process Engineering to meet milestones and budgetary targets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive PMO leadership experience, strong communication skills for senior management and regulators, and a track record of delivering complex

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience: 10+ years product development experience, 5+ years Project Management experience (Combination Product).
• 3+ years of experience leading a Project Management Office.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Device Project Management group, including resource management, budget management, talent management, and employee development accountability.
• Delivers device programs on time, within quality and budget, aligned with AstraZeneca’s strategy.
• Defines, communicates and implements device project management strategy and Design Controls; plans, executes, and approves Design Control Deliverables.
• Develops and maintains processes, tools, and technology to lead a portfolio of projects.
• Assures plans are optimal and align with clinical and commercial development plans.
• Leads and implements strategic initiatives related to Device Project Management and Combination Product Development.
