Becoming a Team Member:

We’re looking for a hands-on leader to serve as Head of Development, overseeing site sourcing, real estate negotiations, and construction execution across the U.S. You’ll be building the future of SEV—one office at a time—working directly with a small but dedicated internal team and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who loves being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the experience and drive to scale a high-growth brand without layers of red tape.

Responsibilities:

  1. Own end-to-end real estate strategy for new office locations nationwide
  2. Source, evaluate, and secure high-potential retail spaces aligned with SEV brand standards and client demographics
  3. Leverage data-driven tools such as Buxton or similar for market analysis and site selection
  4. Lead LOI and lease negotiations in partnership with legal and executive teams
  5. Build strong broker relationships and gather local market intelligence in key growth regions

Construction & Design Execution

  1. Manage construction projects from pre-construction through opening day
  2. Oversee external contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards
  3. Drive cost efficiencies in design and construction without compromising quality
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design consistency and operational readiness
  5. Implement scalable tools for project tracking, cost control, and site readiness
  6. Lead with a hands-on approach—this is not a sit-behind-the-desk role
  7. Build and mentor a lean internal team while managing external brokers and vendors
  8. Report regularly to the CEO on pipeline, timelines, risks, and opportunities
  9. Identify strategies to accelerate expansion and improve build efficiency
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations at each site

What We’re Looking For:

  1. 10+ years of experience in multi-unit real estate development, preferably in retail, wellness, or hospitality
  2. Proven track record managing new site pipelines and overseeing 20+ builds across multiple states
  3. Strong background in lease negotiation, landlord management, and construction oversight
  4. Experience with tools like Buxton, Placer.ai, or similar for market analysis
  5. Familiarity with key US markets
  6. Success in reducing costs while maintaining premium standards
  7. Self-starter with excellent judgment, hustle, and a get-it-done mentality
  8. Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team where multiple roles are handled
  9. Ability to travel nationally and lead projects in-market as needed

Location & Flexibility:

This role can be based anywhere in the U.S., preferably near a SEV studio for operational proximity.

The pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD per year (Remote, United States).
