Job summary

Exa, an in-person opportunity in San Francisco, seeks a strong Full Stack Engineer to own the developer-facing platform—from dashboards to APIs and SDKs. You will contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable services that power AI-driven search for developers and enterprises.

You should have 3+ years of full-stack experience, be fluent in TypeScript, and have shipped products for AI agents or large-language models.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Fluent in TypeScript with strong front-end design sense.
• Designed and maintained backend APIs used by real users and customers.
• Shipped products for LLMs, AI agents, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic onboarding flows from sign-up to first integration.
• Shape the Exa API and SDKs into the cleanest agentic search platform.
• Architect the API gateway that all Exa requests flow through.
• Build accounts, billing, permissions, and provisioning surfaces for enterprise customers.
