Mesh seeks a World‑class Head of Design to own the end‑to‑end Mesh experience across consumer and merchant surfaces. You will lead hands‑on design work while building and guiding a growing team, ensuring consistency of experience and strong product vision in a crypto payments context.

You will influence executives, define strategic design directions, and leverage AI to advance design workflows, with domain expertise in payments or fintech considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product design, including 3+ years leading designers while staying hands-on.
• Experience designing for complex systems where money movement matters.
• First-principles thinking to frame and justify design decisions.
• Executive influence to shape roadmaps with leaders and engineers.
• AI leverage to augment design work and determine what to prototype vs. hand-build.
• Domain experience in payments or fintech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Mesh experience across consumer app and merchant surfaces.
• Tackle design's hardest problems, balancing standardization with necessary customization.
• Lead, coach, and grow the design team; set high standards for talent.
• Shape design in the AI era: tools, workflows, and when to prototype vs. spec.
• Represent design in executive discussions with CEO, CTO, and SVP Product.
