Job summary

Equifax seeks an operational architect to lead the Data Operations Center (DOC) as a strategic, US-based leader responsible for data health across consumer and commercial exchanges.

You will guide observability expansion, automation, and AI-driven remediation while mentoring a national team and ensuring regulatory compliance in a highly controlled environment.

This role emphasizes scaling MTTD/MTTR, data quality advocacy, and transformative operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Analytics, CS, MIS, Math, Statistics, Engineering)
• 7+ years in data operations, systems monitoring, or SOC/DOC/NOC roles in regulated industries
• 5+ years of direct people management of senior individual contributors
• Experience moving teams from manual checks to automated, alert-driven, self-healing models
• Familiarity with enterprise data architectures and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) and observability platforms (Monte Carlo, Anomalo, Bigeye)
• Scripting in SQL, Python, and dbt is required

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale data observability across data in motion, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and lineage
• Lead and develop a US-based DOC team, mentoring with modern observability tools
• Drive automation and AI integration with gatekeepers and remediation scripts to remove manual patching
• Oversee incident management lifecycle for data downtime incidents and improve MTTD/MTTR
• Create Data Quality Scorecards to coach furnishers on ingestion formats and regulatory standards
• Execute complex observability projects on time against SLAs and metrics
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance (FCRA, Metro 2, commercial standards)
