Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc seeks a Chief Data Integration Engineer to lead large-scale data integration initiatives across complex infrastructures. You will blend deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive impactful changes in the data ecosystem.

The role requires guiding teams, optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, and partnering with discovery to shape designs and estimate effort for the target state build-out. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in Data Integration.
• Minimum of two years spent guiding and managing teams.
• Strong grasp of ETL/ELT workflows, data warehousing, and cloud-native data integration.
• Background with AWS/Snowflake/dbt and related modern data stack tools.
• Direct experience using AWS Glue to build data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python for data integration solutions.
• Advanced SQL and scripting skills; English communication at B2 level or above.
• Nice to have Dagster for orchestration of pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Examine existing data ingestion and transformation pipelines built by the current vendor to gauge design and effectiveness.
• Review architecture documentation and source code, applying accelerators to speed up reviews.
• Deliver analyses and complexity evaluations to inform future direction decisions.
• Collaborate with the discovery team to shape solution design and estimate effort for the target state.
