Cohere is seeking a senior leader to head the Data Foundation pillar of our Analytics and Data Insights team. You will supervise data and infrastructure engineers, drive the warehouse, governance, and AI-ready analytics platforms, and partner across orgs to scale data-driven decision making.

You will oversee ingestion into BigQuery, orchestration with Airflow and Cloud Run, dbt modeling, and serving via Looker, with Terraform provisioning and robust governance.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience across data engineering, data infrastructure, or analytics platform work, with a strong management track record leading data platform or infrastructure teams
• Hands-on history in data engineering or infrastructure; able to read Terraform plans and dbt DAGs
• Production experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar), workflow orchestration (Airflow or similar), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Depth in data modeling and semantic layers, recognizes fact/dimension modeling and mart layers
• Experience setting a team roadmap from company strategy and delivering cross‑team outcomes
• Proven operational excellence: alerting, SLAs, incident handling and postmortems
• Exposure to data security and governance: IAM, access controls, audits
• Genuine excitement about AI and building data foundations for AI products
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and leading multi‑workstream roadmaps
• Ability to work with executives on priorities and cross‑functional partnerships

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead the data and infrastructure engineering team
• Set and own the Data Foundation roadmap and cross‑functional impact
• Own data platform end to end: ingestion, orchestration, warehouse modeling, and serving layers
• Define and enforce data governance, access controls, and auditability
• Operate for reliability: alerts, SLAs, incident response, postmortems
• Lead the agentic analytics program and eval harness for AI production readiness
• Set analytics standards and onboarding for new domains
• Partner with product, security, legal, and business insights teams
