Job summary

Terrestrial Bio, Inc. in Woburn, MA is building a Data & AI capability from the ground up. As Senior Director, you will define the data strategy, architect end-to-end pipelines, and lead applied AI efforts that accelerate R&D, manufacturing, and quality.

You will select core enterprise systems (e.g., MES, ERP, LIMS/ELN), establish governance and data ontology, hire the team, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory functions to deliver measurable value under a GxP framework.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/analytics leadership roles.
• Experience building a data function from zero to a functioning team.
• Working fluency in GxP/regulatory context.
• Experience selecting and integrating MES, ERP, or LIMS/ELN systems.
• Ability to present to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Own the Data & AI roadmap and budget aligned with rapid company growth.
• Design data infrastructure, pipelines, storage, and governance across functions.
• Ratify a canonical Data Ontology Dictionary across stakeholders.
• Stand up the data governance charter and RACI with privacy and security.
• Hire, onboard, and manage the Data & AI team.
• Oversee integration of MES, ERP, and ELN systems against a single data model.
• Lead agentic pipelines bridging Google Drive and SharePoint environments.
• Own the applied-AI governance framework for a GxP-regulated setting.
• Manage vendor relationships and RFPs for data-critical systems.
• Ensure data systems meet regulatory data integrity standards.
• Present strategy and progress to CEO and Board ahead of Series B.
