Job summary

BNY is seeking a Critical Systems Manager for Engineering and Data Centers in New York City to lead the design, operation, and optimization of critical facilities across the real estate portfolio. You’ll set MEP standards, manage projects, and supervise engineering staff.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years in facilities management, with strong leadership, project management, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 7–10 years’ management experience in facilities management and/or operations.
• Experience with critical facilities, office fit out, and project management.
• Experience with critical systems operations and maintenance, including SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain MEP engineering standards across real estate portfolio.
• Implement formal design review process for construction projects.
• Coordinate with architectural teams to align engineering and design.
• Develop construction project handover checklist and integrate milestones.
• Manage RFP templates and ensure use by PM teams.
• Oversee third-party facility management providers and SLAs.
• Analyze and optimize building management systems for critical infrastructure.
• Support capital projects for critical systems within schedule and budget.
• Leverage AI to improve facility processes.
