Job summary

Skylo is seeking a Director, Corporate Communication & Strategy in Mountain View, CA to lead the company narrative across stakeholders. You will shape the direct-to-device satellite category, build Skylo's reputation, and oversee marketing, communications and PR to drive sales and revenue.

You will drive thought leadership, manage executive communications, media relations, crisis planning, and develop a cohesive brand voice for enterprise partners and consumers.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 2-4 years in a management role at a high-growth technology company.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Design, Branding or a related field.
• Proven success in integrated communications strategies for both B2B and B2C audiences.
• Demonstrated AI-accelerated workflow: a specific prompt, template, or content system you built.
• A highly creative and flexible storyteller with the ability to develop out-of-the-box narratives for partners and consumers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
• Strong media relations background with a robust network of contacts in relevant tech, business, and consumer media.
• Experience across all aspects of marketing; leading teams to drive impact.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and align Marketing and Design functions to ensure cohesive strategy across all brand touch points.
• Drive category creation and thought leadership, securing speaking engagements at top forums.
• Develop and lead a comprehensive communications strategy to build awareness and understanding of Skylo's value proposition.
• Lead internal agency functions and ensure clear hand-offs for partner marketing and sales enablement.
• Create simple, repeatable narratives for employees, partners, press, investors and regulators.
• Build strong media relations and manage crisis communications and issues management.
• Oversee content strategy to ensure consistent brand voice across external communications, including press announcements and website content.
• Develop executive communications and visibility plans, including speaking engagements and media interviews.
