Material Security, a remote-first cybersecurity company with an office in San Francisco, is seeking a Senior Manager of Content Marketing to own the editorial engine across the blog, resource center, reports, and thought leadership. You will lead the original research program and craft long- and short-form content that resonates with security practitioners.

You will guide editorial strategy, oversee distribution, and measure impact on pipeline, aiming to make workspace security a market category

Qualifications

• 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, tech journalism, or security research writing.
• Exceptional writing and editing with a portfolio spanning long-form research or reporting, technical explainers, and sharp short-form.
• A track record of turning datasets, telemetry, or survey research into published work that earned coverage and citations.
• Enough depth to interview a detection engineer and be credible with a CISO reader.
• Working knowledge of SEO and conviction about AI-assisted answers in addition to search rankings.
• Experience running a content function end to end: strategy, calendar, production, review, publication, distribution, measurement.

Responsabilités

• Own content strategy and the editorial calendar across the blog, resource center, research reports, and executive thought leadership.
• Lead our original research program, including the State of Workspace Security report franchise.
• Write and edit across formats: research reports, technical blog posts, category POV pieces, web copy, video scripts, and campaign content.
• Own the website's content layer and answer-engine optimization: structure content for AI citations and track share of model against competitors.
• Drive the category narrative in partnership with product marketing to publish compelling market arguments.
• Build content-led campaigns with demand generation and assets built to convert, on a clear SLA.
• Partner with founders, engineers, and security researchers to source insight and maintain credibility.
• Measure impact with pipeline influence, citation share, and engagement data, and cut what doesn't.
