The Opportunity

AliveCor is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Consumer Retail Business Sales Leader to drive product engagement and placement within US-based retail channels, both physical and virtual. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer electronics and/or healthcare devices, with a proven track record of engaging retailers and achieving revenue targets in a remote work environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively to maximize our product presence and sales within the retail market.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead strategic expansion of our retail program into new accounts, physical and virtual, while driving sales growth in existing accounts.
  2. Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with key North America-based retail partners, conducting regular business reviews, and investigating new ways to innovate and improve the retail program at an account level.
  3. Design and execute strategies tailored for the Amazon marketplace, staying current on best practices, Amazon program offerings, and overall health of our brand store and product listings.
  4. Secure optimal product placement and visibility in both physical and virtual retail stores to drive consumer awareness and sales.
  5. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the assigned retail channels.
  6. Select, hire, onboard, and manage broker partners as needed for select retail opportunities.
  7. Oversee, audit, and manage the affiliate program.
  8. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new retail opportunities, trends, and the competitive landscape.
  9. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product launches, promotions, and inventory management.
  10. Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to management, and adjusting strategies as needed.
  11. Manage and grow existing retail accounts, identifying opportunities for expansion and increased sales.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and other key decision-makers.
  13. Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with retailers to maximize profitability and product visibility.
  14. Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage inventory levels to meet retailer demand and minimize stockouts.
  15. Lead a small retail sales account team to forecast, plan, and execute sales targets, including conducting product training and building product knowledge for retail accounts.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within the consumer retail industry.
  • Proven success in selling consumer electronics and/or healthcare devices to major US retailers.
  • Experience managing and growing retail accounts with a history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the US retail landscape, including physical and e-commerce channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15-20% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Existing network within the consumer electronics and healthcare device retail industry.
  • Experience selling on Amazon.com and to retailers like Best Buy, CVS, and Walmart.
  • Knowledge of product merchandising and in-store marketing.
