Job summary

The National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland seeks a Chief of the Computational Health Research Branch to lead a multidisciplinary program focused on AI-driven health informatics, personalized medicine, and disease modeling.

The successful candidate will serve as Senior Investigator under Title 42(f) and provide scientific and administrative leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction for CHRB to advance innovative computational approaches that support NIH priorities and public

Qualifications

• National or international recognition as a leader in computational health sciences or related field.
• A track record of leading independent, multidisciplinary research programs and teams.
• Specialized expertise in health informatics, AI, ML, biostatistics, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and strategic direction for CHRB.
• Lead an independent research program in computational health sciences.
• Mentor investigators, postdocs, and trainees and foster collaborations across institutions.
