Job summary

The National Library of Medicine (NLM), part of NIH, seeks a Branch Chief for Computational Health Research Branch in Bethesda, MD. The role leads a multidisciplinary program focused on computational health sciences, AI, and large-scale biomedical data analysis.

The Senior Investigator under Title 42(f) will guide scientific strategy, mentor investigators, and foster collaborations across NLM, NIH, and external partners to advance biomedical research, clinical care, and public health.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field.
• Outstanding scientific accomplishments and stature for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and administrative leadership for CHRB and guide the branch's strategic research program.
• Lead an independent research program in computational health sciences and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advance AI, machine learning, health informatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and large-scale data analytics for biomedical data.
