Job summary

Opera Philadelphia seeks a Director of Community Partnerships and Learning to provide strategic leadership for education, civic engagement, and community partnerships across the organization. You will shape programs connecting opera to Philadelphia communities through artistic collaboration, lifelong learning, and authentic engagement.

The role requires 7–10 years of leadership in arts education or nonprofit settings, and the ability to work evenings/weekends to support events and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in Arts Administration, Education, Public Humanities, Nonprofit Management, or related fields.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with broad community engagement capability.
• Experience leading arts education or community engagement programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for education and community partnerships.
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with schools, arts partners, educators, and funders.
• Represent Opera Philadelphia regionally as a community engagement ambassador.
• Oversee curricula, residencies, workshops, and public programs.
• Evaluate programs using qualitative and quantitative data for ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate across departments to integrate community perspectives into planning.
• Manage budgets, staff, and cross-functional initiatives.
