Job description

Gradial is the marketing operations system of work that helps marketers and creatives move from idea to execution faster. Our platform orchestrates across martech stacks, workflows, and people to automate marketing execution, cutting execution time, so marketers focus on the work only humans can do: shaping brands, understanding customers, and creating the work that moves people.

Backed by leading investors, we’re building software that adapts to the user, not the other way around. We move with urgency, operate with ownership, and solve hard problems from first principles. If you want to do ambitious work, take real responsibility, and help define the future of AI-native content operations, you’ll do your best work here.

The Role

Community is a core part of how Gradial will build lasting relationships with customers and marketing leaders. As our Head of Community, you’ll build our community strategy from the ground up and turn it into a program that delivers real value for members and measurable impact for the business.

You’ll own two flagship initiatives. The first is a thriving practitioner community for Creators, Marketers, and Marketing Technologists where members can learn from one another, share best practices, and shape the future of AI-powered marketing. The second is the Frontier CMO Council, an invitation-only community that brings together marketing executives to exchange ideas, build relationships, and influence the next generation of marketing leadership.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys building from zero. You’ll define the strategy, launch programs, manage day‑to‑day operations, measure success, and continuously improve the member experience as our community grows.

What You’ll Own
  • Build and execute the long‑term strategy and roadmap for Gradial’s practitioner community and Frontier CMO Council.
  • Create engaging programs, campaigns, and experiences that drive member enrollment, participation, and long‑term engagement.
  • Own the project management and execution of community initiatives across digital and in‑person experiences.
  • Manage community platforms including Slack while creating opportunities for meaningful conversations and knowledge sharing.
  • Plan and deliver regional meetups, executive dinners, customer events, roundtables, and larger community experiences.
  • Build and scale champion and ambassador programs that encourage advocacy and community leadership.
  • Foster strong relationships with practitioners, customers, and executive members to create an engaged and trusted network.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and Product to align community initiatives with company priorities.
  • Define community success metrics and own reporting across member growth, engagement, advocacy, customer participation, and business impact.
  • Continuously gather member feedback and translate insights into improvements for both the community experience and Gradial’s products and programs.
What We Need
  • Experience building and growing successful communities with ownership of both member enrollment and long‑term engagement.
  • A track record of creating community programs that deliver measurable business outcomes, not just audience growth.
  • Experience developing community strategies while also executing the day‑to‑day work required to launch and scale programs.
  • Strong program and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience planning and running both virtual and in‑person community experiences, from small executive dinners to larger events.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage practitioners, customers, and executive stakeholders.
  • A data‑driven approach to measuring community health, engagement, and business impact.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑moving startup environment where you’ll build new programs from scratch and adapt quickly as priorities evolve.
  • A collaborative mindset with experience working across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building or scaling industry‑leading community programs for B2B SaaS or technology companies.
  • Familiarity with AI, marketing technology, or modern marketing workflows.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer events, executive programs, conferences, and regional community meetups.
What we offer
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Fast‑paced environment with flexibility and ownership
  • A front‑row seat to building category‑defining AI infrastructure
You’ll thrive here if you…
  • Learn quickly, actively seek out new challenges, and regularly reconsider “how it’s always been done.”
  • Have an innate drive for being 1% better than the day before, building towards greatness.
  • Embrace AI as a core tool for problem‑solving, innovation, and scale.
  • Show customer‑obsession (internal or external), high ownership/accountability, and bias for action.
  • Communicate clearly, directly, with curiosity, and assuming good intentions.
  • Thrive in fast‑paced, hyper‑growth environments where building better > maintaining status quo.
AI Literacy & Interviewing Tools

As an AI‑first company, we prioritize AI literacy as a core competency in our hiring decisions. We’re excited by candidates who thoughtfully apply AI tools in their work, but during interviews we’re focused on you. This is your opportunity to show how you think, communicate, and solve problems. Over‑reliance on AI‑generated responses during the interview process (especially when it obscures your own voice) will result in disqualification. We want to understand your unique perspective and how you approach challenges, both with and without AI.

Gradial is dedicated to creating an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and all team members can grow. We offer competitive compensation, equity, flexible work hours, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative culture focused on learning and impact.

As set forth in Gradial’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.
