Job summary

Sola Insurance in Atlanta is building a unified claims operation. You will own the end-to-end claims lifecycle across parametric and indemnity products, from FNOL to payment and closure, while leading TPA selection and internal FNOL setup.

This hands-on builder role requires 10+ years of property claims experience, a revenue- and customer-focused mindset, and the ability to design processes within a fast-growing insurtech startup. Equity is available and the office is in West Midtown.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of property claims experience, with deep homeowners and wind/hail chops.
• You've owned a claims lifecycle end-to-end, not just one piece of it.
• You've managed or audited TPAs and moved the needle on performance, with RFP/contract experience.
• You've built or scaled a claims operation with defined workflows, hiring, QA.
• CAT response experience, ideally leading field response for wind/hail events.
• Fluency in claims economics: LAE, severity trends, cycle-time drivers, leakage.
• Knowledge of SIU practices to assess team capabilities.
• Comfort with startup player-coach dynamics and cross-functional playbooks.
• Willingness to obtain adjuster license across operating states.

Responsibilities

• Own the full claims lifecycle end to end across both products: FNOL through payment, subrogation, and closure.
• Unify parametric and indemnity claims processes into one cohesive experience and define interaction at payout/basis events.
• Lead TPA selection for the new homeowners product end to end, including SLAs, audits, and file reviews.
• Stand up internal FNOL from scratch for both products: staffing, scripts, escalation paths.
• Own CAT response strategy for a wind/hail-focused book.
• Decide what stays with the TPA and what is brought in-house, building the migration roadmap.
• Represent claims with carriers, reinsurers, regulators; shape market conduct readiness.
