Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an executive leader for civil construction and site development in Traverse City, MI. This on-site role directs estimating, planning, field execution, and project delivery across mass earthwork, utilities, and roadwork, partnering with ownership to shape growth.

You will manage project managers, estimators, superintendents, and field teams; drive safety, profitability, and quality; and build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil/site development experience.
• Strong estimating and project management expertise.
• Proven field execution and leadership for multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across civil construction and site development.
• Oversee projects from estimating and planning through field execution and completion.
• Lead teams of project managers, estimators, superintendents, and foremen.
• Monitor performance to improve productivity, margins, quality, and efficiency.
• Establish priorities, budgets, and performance goals with ownership.
• Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
