Maze Therapeutics in South San Francisco is seeking a Manager, Chemical Development to lead external CMOs and drive manufacturing of drug substance for clinical programs.

You will partner with discovery, QA, and regulatory to ensure cGMP compliance, optimize processes, and scale from bench to clinic. This hybrid role requires domestic and international travel and onsite presence at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with process chemistry and cGMP experience.
• Experience with process optimization and scale-up.
• Familiarity with cGMP regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to technical and cross-functional audiences.
• Proficiency with ChemDraw and SciFinder.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Direct international CMOs developing new chemical processes and optimize production.
• Analyze existing production methods and recommend improvements.
• Ensure manufacturing stays compliant and audit-ready with QA/Regulatory.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track industry trends to improve Maze's processes.
