Sentry in Stevens Point, Wisconsin is seeking a senior leader to guide the claims team, ensuring compliant, timely resolutions and effective expense control. You’ll govern settlement authority, mentor managers, and shape policy, governance, and training across the department.

This hybrid role offers Mondays and Fridays remote, office Tue-Thu, with Sentry University, comprehensive benefits, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; JD preferred.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in claims operations.
• Broad background in claims across multiple lines and policies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and human relations skills.
• Knowledge of contracts, SLAs, and insurance terms.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to management team.
• Navigate authority reserving and provide settlement guidance.
• Spearhead strategic initiatives for claim operations and compliance.
• Evaluate and streamline claim workflows with technology.
• Develop claims policies and implement systems.
• Oversee audits, governance, and data requests.
• Represent Sentry in industry associations and committees.
