Job summary

Plantible Foods is seeking a Director of Capital Projects to own the execution of large-scale capital builds, from FEL through startup. You will align engineering, operations, finance, and external partners to deliver safe, compliant facilities that scale our bioprocessing capabilities.

You will lead budgeting, scheduling, and risk management while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Bioengineering, Civil, Construction Management.
• 10+ years delivering industrial capital projects with ownership and leadership.
• Experience in biotechnology, food processing, fermentation, or similar hygienic process environments.
• Led a significant greenfield or major expansion through engineering, construction, commissioning and startup.
• Experience owning project budgets, schedules, forecasts, contingency, and change control.
• Willingness to spend significant time on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own scope, schedule, budget, risk, and execution strategy for major capital projects.
• Build and maintain the integrated project plan from FEL through commissioning and startup.
• Lead external engineering, EPC/EPCM, construction, and specialty partners.
• Establish governance, stage gates, and accountability across teams.
• Oversee construction execution and drive RFIs, changes, and issues.
• Promote hygienic-design and quality culture across projects.
