Job summary

Plantible Foods is seeking a Director of Capital Projects to own the execution of next-generation facilities. You will integrate engineering, operations, development, and finance with external partners to deliver turnkey plants from FEL through startup.

You will spend significant time on-site, drive safety and quality culture, and shape governance and commissioning plans to ensure operability and handoff to Operations. This is a key leadership role in a growing biotech-enabled food company.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale capital projects in manufacturing/biotech.
• Proven ability to own budgets, schedules, forecasts, contingency and change control.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors and vendors.
• Strong FEL/FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own scope, schedule, budget, risk, and execution strategy for major capital projects.
• Lead external engineering, EPC/EPCM partners and construction teams.
• Ensure project governance, stage gates and accountability across internal/external teams.
• Coordinate transition from design to operations with plant start-up readiness.
• Establish procurement strategies and long-lead equipment identification.
