Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Capital Formation to lead fundraising for RoboStrategy. This is the firm’s senior commercial role, overseeing distribution to RIAs and private wealth and sales to institutional investors.

The role is responsible for building lasting demand for our shares and a stable, high-quality shareholder base. You will lead our distribution and institutional sales teams and our external partners in raising capital from sovereign wealth funds, institutions, family offices, RIAs, independent broker-dealers and private wealth platforms. We expect the person in this role to add value from day one and to have a measurable impact on flows within the first months. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer.

What You’ll Do
  • Own capital formation. Set fundraising strategy across wealth and institutional channels, oversee national accounts, and be accountable for flows, platform approvals, growth in advisor and institutional ownership, and the quality and stability of our shareholder base.
  • Manage key relationships. Personally cover our most significant investors, open new channels as the fund grows, and develop bespoke fundraising solutions suited to our structure.
  • Build the team. Hire and develop our distribution and institutional sales teams, direct our external distribution partners, and set the targets, incentives and standards the team works to.
  • Oversee the sales infrastructure. Drive the development of the CRM, investor segmentation, pipeline reporting and performance metrics that make fundraising repeatable and measurable.
  • Shape the market narrative. Partner with leadership and marketing on how the fund is positioned to investors, and bring feedback on investor demand back into firm strategy.
  • Operate within a regulated framework. Supervise registered representatives with our broker-dealer and compliance partners, and apply the marketing and MNPI standards appropriate to a listed fund.
Core Qualifications
  • 10+ years raising capital, including senior leadership of a fundraising, distribution or investor relations function.
  • Experience raising for publicly listed funds, such as closed-end funds, ETFs, BDCs or listed trusts, is strongly preferred. Experience with 1940 Act registered funds is a plus.
  • A verifiable record of capital raised, with specific outcomes you can speak to: amounts, channels, and your personal role in securing them.
  • An established network of investor relationships that can be activated quickly and translated into measurable flows.
  • Extensive experience in both wealth distribution and institutional sales, including advisor education, consultant relationships and institutional due diligence.
  • Direct experience leading national accounts, including home office due diligence, platform approvals, research-list and model portfolio inclusion, and selling agreements across wirehouses, independent broker-dealers and RIA platforms.
  • A track record of building and leading distribution teams, including hiring, incentive design and performance management.
  • FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 required, as this role will supervise our registered representatives.
  • Proactive in applying AI across research, investor coverage and the sales process, and in driving its adoption across the team, consistent with our AI-first approach.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Has been instrumental in growing a firm or platform from its early stages into a multi-billion business.
  • A proven builder who has launched channels, teams and products from scratch and is energized by doing it again.
  • Recognized as one of the leading capital raisers in the market, with the reputation to engage investors at the most senior levels.
  • Leads from the front, personally closing the largest mandates while building the team and process around them.
  • Thinks like an owner, focused on building a stable, long-term shareholder base.
  • Drawn to the challenge of building an investor base for a first-of-its-kind public vehicle.
  • Shares our conviction that robotics will be one of the defining investment themes of the coming decades.
