Résumé du poste

Lob is transforming direct mail with technology and a modern logistics engine. The Business Operations Manager will own cross-functional programs spanning Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, the Print & Delivery Network, and Go-to-Market, turning ambiguous problems into documented, measured processes with named owners.

You'll drive program execution, deliver analysis using Lob's data and AI tooling, and document outcomes for lasting ownership while supporting company-wide operating cadences.

Qualifications

  • 4-7+ years post-undergrad in management consulting/corporate strategy (client-facing, multi-stakeholder delivery) or business operations, strategic finance, revenue operations, or chief-of-staff work with direct ownership of an operationally complex domain.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Industry fit: B2B SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or other operationally intensive business.
  • Familiarity with BI/data warehouse tooling and AI-assisted analysis expected; SQL helpful but not required.

Responsabilités

  • Own Program Execution: Run three to five concurrent cross-functional programs with defined end state, status, dependency owners, and target completion date.
  • Drive outcomes across teams: push programs to completion across Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Partner Operations, Solutions, and Go-to-Market.
  • Deliver the Analysis: produce analysis behind program decisions using Lob's data and reporting stack and available AI tooling.
  • Hand Off What You Build: document each program on completion and transition it to a permanent owner with a surviving metric.
  • Cover the Gaps: provide FP&A, Deal Desk, and operations analytics support and assist planning of company cadences like QBRs and leadership offsites.
  • Program Management Chops: scope ambiguous work, sequence dependencies, and hold owners to dates across multiple orgs.
  • Familiarity with BI/data warehouse tooling and AI-assisted analysis expected; SQL helpful but not required.

Description du poste

Today, we're transforming the way businesses use direct mail and bringing the power of technology to a traditionally manual channel. Our modern logistics and fulfillment engine helps businesses to build and scale high-quality, personalized direct mail programs without the operational burden. As we grow to meet the evolving needs of our customers and expand our product offerings, we’re building a team to shape the future of direct mail.

Business Operations Manager

At Lob, you'll own the cross-functional programs that make or break how the company actually runs — the initiatives that span Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, our Print & Delivery Network, and Go-to-Market, and that stall when no single person is accountable for finishing them. You'll take a program from an ambiguous problem to a documented, measured process with a named owner. You'll do the analysis, coordinate across teams that don't report to you, and deliver the executive communication required to get things done.

As the Business Operations Manager, you'll…

  • Own Program Execution: Run three to five concurrent cross-functional programs at once, each with a defined end state, a published status, named dependency owners, and a target completion date.
  • Drive Outcomes Across Teams: Push programs to completion through Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Partner Operations, Solutions, and Go-to-Market — and escalation with judgment when a dependency stalls.
  • Deliver the Analysis: Produce the analysis behind program decisions using Lob's data and reporting stack and available AI tooling.
  • Hand Off What You Build: Document each program on completion and transition it to a permanent owner outside this role, with a metric that survives the handoff.
  • Cover the Gaps: Provide backup for FP&A, Deal Desk, and Business Operations analytics deliverables, and support planning and execution of company-wide operating cadences like QBRs and leadership offsites.
  • Program Management Chops: Strong skills scoping ambiguous work, sequencing dependencies, and holding owners to dates across multiple organizations at once — you deliver outcomes through people who don't report to you.
  • Familiarity with BI/data warehouse tooling and AI-assisted analysis expected; SQL helpful but not required.
  • Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and incomplete information.
  • Relevant Experience: 4-7+ years post-undergrad in management consulting/corporate strategy (client-facing, multi-stakeholder delivery) or business operations, strategic finance, revenue operations, or chief-of-staff work with direct ownership of an operationally complex domain. Bachelor's degree required.
  • Industry Fit (preferred): Background in B2B SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or another operationally intensive business.
