Job summary

PAKA Apparel, Inc. is seeking a Head of Brand & Creative to partner with the Founder and lead the brand’s strategy, storytelling, campaigns, and creative direction.

You will build the brand calendar, oversee PR, partnerships, ambassadors, and a team, elevating the premium natural fiber brand to global audiences through culturally relevant experiences. You will own day-to-day brand stewardship, ensuring every expression reflects the premium standard and drives long-term equity across customers

Qualifications

  • 10+ years building premium consumer brands, with meaningful experience leading brand strategy and partnering with creative teams to produce exceptional work.
  • Strong body of work demonstrating breakthrough brand building, culturally relevant campaigns and premium creative judgment.
  • Demonstrated success building brand awareness and earned media through creative storytelling.
  • Experience managing agencies, production partners, photographers, filmmakers, and freelancers.
  • Exceptional creative judgment with the confidence to make decisions and maintain a high bar.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

Location: This role is primarily based onsite at our Boulder, CO headquarters.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $225,000, plus eligibility for a 20% annual performance bonus and equity options.

Position Summary

This person is the steward and builder of PAKA's brand. As Head of Brand & Creative, you will partner directly with the Founder to shape how millions of people experience, understand, and connect with PAKA.

You will own the company's brand strategy, storytelling, campaigns, creative direction, content production, PR strategy, partnerships, ambassadors, and more - working in close partnership with PAKA's Art Director and leading the broader Brand team to ensure every customer touchpoint builds long-term brand equity. Together, you will raise PAKA's creative standard while establishing the brand as a global leader in natural fiber apparel through culturally relevant stories, experiences, and campaigns that inspire people to live a life connected to source.

You will own the day-to-day stewardship of the PAKA brand and its creative, ensuring every expression reflects the premium standard we're building while creating the cultural relevance, awareness, and emotional connection that drives long-term brand equity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Stewardship

Mission: Build one of the world's most admired premium natural fiber brands.

  • Partner with the Founder to evolve and steward PAKA's long-term brand strategy.
  • Own brand positioning, messaging, voice, and premium standards across every customer touchpoint.
  • Develop and own PAKA's annual Brand Calendar, establishing the brand narratives, campaigns, partnerships, cultural moments, and storytelling priorities that define how the company shows up throughout the year.
  • Ensure every initiative reinforces PAKA's mission of helping people live connected to source.

2. Brand Campaigns & Growth

Mission: Grow awareness and earn cultural relevance through exceptional storytelling.

  • Develop breakthrough brand campaigns and moments that grow awareness
  • Own PAKA’s PR strategy, partnerships, ambassador program, and influencer strategy.
  • Build annual brand calendars that answer: \"what does the world remember PAKA for this season?\"Every season should have 1-2 flagship moments that everyone in the company can answer immediately.
  • Identify where PAKA should show up culturally and proactively create opportunities.
  • Build a storytelling engine across YouTube, documentaries, editorial, and social.
  • Raise the creative standard across every piece of work produced by PAKA.
  • Help establish PAKA as the leading authority on natural fiber apparel.

3. Creative Production & Execution

Mission: Turn ideas into reality.

  • Partner closely with the Art Director to translate brand strategy and campaign ideas into exceptional creative across every channel.
  • Build and lead PAKA's in-house creative production capability, team, processes, and external production network.
  • Drive projects from concept through launch with exceptional attention to quality.
  • Ensure campaigns, partnerships, and content are delivered on time without compromising creative excellence.
  • Create structure, accountability, and clarity across the Brand function.
  • Know when to lead strategically, when to empower the team, and when to roll up your sleeves to ship great work

4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

Mission: Build a world-class Brand organization.

  • Lead and grow PAKA’s in-house creative team, agencies, and partners
  • Inspire a culture of creativity, initiative, and high standards.
  • Partner with Product from concept through launch, ensuring every major product initiative has a differentiated story, clear positioning, and compelling go-to-market narrative that reinforces PAKA's long-term brand strategy.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Retail, and Partnerships to ensure one consistent brand experience.
  • Materially reduce Founder dependency while maintaining alignment on PAKA's long-term vision.
  • Balance creative ambition with disciplined execution.
