Job summary

Piano Cleveland is seeking an Education & Community Programs Lead to organize and drive our in-school education programs across Northeast Ohio, including PianoLabs and the Donation Program. You will partner with teachers, artists and community partners to plan and implement engaging experiences for students of all ages.

The role requires leadership in coordinating logistical details, overseeing staff, and delivering high-quality arts education experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in music education or arts programming preferred.
  • Ability to design engaging arts education content and lesson plans.
  • Strong understanding of PreK-12 standards and trends.
  • Experience working with diverse communities in urban settings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and collaborative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: 1–3 years in non-profit music education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate in-school education programs across Cleveland public schools.
  • Manage PianoLab sites including staffing, scheduling, and payroll.
  • Oversee the Piano and Keyboard Donation Program from evaluation to matching.
  • Collaborate with teachers, artists, and partners to develop new programs.
  • Organize annual masterclasses and family-friendly events.
