NYC School Construction Authority is seeking a Director of Architecture and Engineering for the DCMS-Capacity unit. You will provide senior design leadership, manage complex capacity and CIP projects, and oversee staff and consultants to deliver high-quality public schools in New York City.

Responsibilities include directing pre-design through construction phases, ensuring alignment with DOE requirements, safety, and budget, while mentoring staff and engaging with top architectural firms to

• Eleven years of full-time architectural experience on major building projects.
• Five years in an administrative or management capacity.
• Architectural licensure required.

Responsabilidades

• Directs the activities of the DCMS-Capacity unit in pre-design, design, and construction-phase support for Authority projects.
• Reviews consultant work for design quality, technical rigor, and coordination across disciplines.
• Ensures design submissions are complete, coordinated, code-compliant, and aligned with budget and schedule.
• Mentors staff and coordinates with executive leadership and external consultants.
