Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority is seeking a Director of Architecture and Engineering to lead the DCMS-Capacity unit. You will oversee senior design leadership, manage tight schedules, and ensure quality across CIP and capacity projects for school facilities in New York City.

Qualifications

Extensive architectural design expertise for complex institutional projects.
Ability to lead design dialogue with top practices and ensure design excellence.
Strong knowledge of design processes, multi-disciplinary coordination, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

Manage unit staff and set project delivery expectations.
Provide senior design leadership and review consultant work for quality and constructability.
Ensure compliance with DOE requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Mentor staff and improve technical and design standards.
