Job summary

Citi is seeking an Applications Development Group Manager in Tampa, FL, to lead multiple teams in delivering new and revised application systems in coordination with the Technology Team. The role focuses on driving applications systems analysis and programming activities and requires deep expertise in development practices and leadership across global teams.

The position emphasizes strategic budget management, risk-aware decision making, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in applications development.
• Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles (Java or Python).
• Multiple years of agile software delivery experience (SCRUM, Kanban).
• Experience with database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL).
• Cloud-native development and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Exposure to event-driven design and architecture (Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Experience in management and leading global technology teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic influence over resources, budgets, and planning.
