Job summary

Okta, located in the San Francisco Bay area, is seeking a driven engineering leader for the AI Takeoff team to accelerate roadmap delivery and customer outcomes. You will work directly with high-profile customers to translate real-world needs into differentiating AI capabilities and bring them to production.

You will lead a small, autonomous team, partner across Okta to ensure security, reliability, and scalability, and act as a senior SME in complex engagements and sales processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and shipping identity, security, infrastructure or developer-focused products.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with top customers and AI Forward Deployed Engineering to translate needs into AI capabilities and deliver to production.
• Partner with Okta Engineering, Product and Design to ensure capabilities are production-ready and meet security, reliability, scalability, and quality standards.
• Build and mentor a small, focused team of AI Takeoff engineers with high autonomy and urgency.
• Serve as a senior technical SME in customer engagements, technical evaluations and complex sales processes.
• Lead complex customer escalations, identify root causes, and deliver durable solutions.
• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and execution for the AI Takeoff roadmap with balance between urgency and long-term quality.
