Job summary

Okta’s AI Takeoff team seeks a driven engineering leader to accelerate roadmap delivery and engage customers directly. You will translate customer needs into differentiated AI capabilities, partner with cross-functional teams, and own the technical strategy for scalable, secure deployments.

You will lead with urgency in a high-growth environment, mentor engineers, and influence outcomes that impact Okta’s platform and identity security offerings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and shipping identity, security, infrastructure or developer-focused products in a high-growth organization.
• Proven engineering leadership and team management experience, including hiring and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong executive communication and influencing skills with cross-functional impact.
• Proven experience translating customer problems into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with top customers and AI Forward Deployed Engineering to translate needs into AI capabilities and deliver to production.
• Partner with Okta Engineering, Product and Design to ensure capabilities are production-ready and meet security, reliability, scalability and quality standards.
• Build and mentor a small, autonomous team of AI Takeoff engineers.
• Serve as a senior SME in customer engagements, technical evaluations and complex sales processes.
• Lead complex customer escalations with a bias toward root-cause analysis and durable solutions.
• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and execution for the AI Takeoff roadmap, balancing urgency with scalability.
