Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr

Aventis Solutions is igniting the AI revolution: now, we're partnering with a high-impact tech firm to build out a dedicated AI innovation team function. As part of this buildout, the company is seeking a Head of AI & Technology Risk and Security to lead and shape the responsible adoption of large language models, agentic systems, and ML infrastructure across its core platforms. This is a rare opportunity to join a business that is investing deeply in applied AI, where security, governance, and compliance are viewed as critical enablers, not blockers.

• Salary Bracket: $200,000–$260,000 base + up to 20% bonuses + 401(k) match + generous PTO + top-tier health benefits
• Location: Remote-first with tech hubs in New York City, Austin, Chicago, and Miami.
• Career Outlook: Pathways to grow into Group CISO, CTO, CIO are genuinely possible. The CIO is winding down in a couple of years, and is looking for this role to eventually take a step up, alongside other key senior leadership team members. This is a foundational hire with the remit and support to scale policy, tooling and controls across a modern, AI-native technology stack.

• Cross-Functional Collaborator: You’re great at working with software engineers, data scientists, and designers, translating business needs into technical scope (and vice versa).
• Excellent Communicator: Comfortable creating product briefs, competitive analyses, stakeholder decks, and clear documentation.
• Industry Experience: Background in professional services, FinTech, healthcare, insurance, asset management, enterprise SaaS, or regulated industries is advantageous.
• Commercial: Strong understanding of how LLMs and generative AI models are being integrated into enterprise platforms, including practical experience assessing risks related to tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Cohere, or custom fine-tuned models within production environments
• AI-Driven Product Context: Experience advising or supporting AI product teams on the responsible deployment of model outputs, including prompt design, safety filters, output logging, and user-facing AI interfaces
• Information and Data Governance: Track record of defining data classification policies, model governance standards, and compliance controls for sensitive or regulated data used in ML pipelines or LLM-based applications, especially in industries with heightened compliance obligations such as financial services, healthcare, or critical infrastructure

What You’ll Do:

Join AI-focused technology squads working across use cases like intelligent search, AI copilots, enterprise automation, and LLM-powered platforms. You’ll be a bridge between business goals and technical teams, helping shape product roadmaps, gathering user requirements, validating ideas quickly, and defining success metrics.

Whether the team is building internal tooling, launching a customer-facing product, or experimenting with generative AI features, you’ll play a key role in defining what gets built and why. This role could suit an existing CISO, Head of Information Security, Head of Data & Analytics, Head of Data Governance, Head of AI, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, Chief Data Officer, Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), or similar.
