Job summary

WAI is seeking a Director, AI Platform Engineer to lead the development of an AI‑ready data foundation and production platform. The role may be onsite or remote, with responsibilities spanning data lake design, AI/ML workflows, and governance across ERP and core systems.

You will drive embedding, vector search, dashboards, and cost‑efficient model serving while collaborating with IT, data owners, and offshore teams. A strong cloud and Python background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field; Master’s preferred or equivalent senior experience.
• Experience designing or leading production data platforms, data lakes/lakehouses, and AI/ML platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, deployment, and continuous improvement of the AI-ready data and platform foundation.
• Own architecture for AI/ML/LLM workflows, RAG, embeddings, and model serving.
• Ingest, clean, validate, and automate data pipelines from structured and unstructured sources.
• Develop trusted unified data layer with schema standards and data-quality monitoring.
• Build dashboards, AI summaries, and NLP interfaces connected to trusted data.
