Job summary

VinMotion USA is seeking an innovative Head of AI Motion to lead the development of AI-driven motion planning, control, and reinforcement learning strategies for humanoid robots. This role requires expertise in RL, WBC, MPC, and AI-powered motion planning to shape the future of dynamic, real-time robotic movement.

You will lead a world-class team, mentor engineers, and drive cross‑functional collaboration across AI, control, hardware, and simulation groups while upholding safety and performance

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in AI, Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years in AI-driven robotics, RL, or motion planning with leadership.
• Proven real-world AI motion control for humanoid or autonomous systems.
• Strong background in kinematics, sensor fusion, and human-like motion.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the long-term AI Motion roadmap aligned with product strategy.
• Drive innovation in RL-based motion planning, WBC, and model-based control.
• Develop adaptive learning for robust real-world motion control.
• Lead RL/Imitation models for skill transfer and agile motion generation.
• Oversee real-time planning, energy efficiency, and balance in deployments.
• Build and mentor AI/robotics teams and ensure cross‑functional collaboration.
