Job summary

Artefact is seeking a senior AI/ML engineering leader to drive production-grade AI solutions, spanning classical ML, LLMs, and agentic systems. You will shape context engineering, prompt design, and tool integration while guiding a team of engineers and collaborating with clients to deliver scalable, secure AI platforms.

You will define the platform stack on Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI, and coordinate with leadership on strategy and roadmap in a dynamic, startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software/AI background.
• 2–3+ years in LLM architecture and agentic design.
• Masters or higher in CS/SE or related field.
• Hands-on with agentic SDKs (LangGraph/LangChain, Google ADK, Claude Agent SDK).
• Experience with cloud architectures: microservices, containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC.
• Strong production deployments of AI/ML systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of production-grade AI solutions (classical ML, LLMs, agentic systems).
• Define context engineering, prompt/system design, RAG, vector stores, memory management.
• Oversee robust agent harnesses, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, observability.
• Lead fine-tuning pipelines: data curation, supervised fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment.
• Architect platform stack on Google Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI; leverage others as needed.
• Provide pre-sales support: scoping engagements, demos, solution architectures with clients.
