Job summary

Sureel AI, an independent company within Warner Music Group, seeks a senior leader to own the business function of negotiations and licensing across rights holders, AI companies, and DSPs. You will shape commercial strategy, pricing, and scalable frameworks while collaborating with Product, Client Relations, and Warner Music Group teams.

You will drive licensing models and revenue structures, ensuring durable commercial outcomes across markets and platforms in the evolving AI rights landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements in music, media, or technology.
• Owned the business side of negotiations with platforms, DSPs, or rights holders.
• Understand the economics of the music industry, licensing frameworks and value flow.
• Able to model revenue structures and explain business logic to technical teams and leaders.
• Capable of structuring complex deals and making strategic judgments on terms.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a fast-moving environment.
• Interest in the music industry and startup-paced team.
• Direct experience negotiating with AI companies, DSPs, or other service providers.

Responsibilities

• Own the business function for Sureel's negotiations from first conversation to signature.
• Negotiate economics of platform integrations, licensing models, revenue structures, and payment flows.
• Develop business use cases for integrating Sureel's infrastructure with AI companies and DSPs.
• Structure licensing/economic frameworks for emerging categories across partners/markets.
• Structure multi-stakeholder commercial arrangements among rights holders and participants.
• Collaborate with Client Relations on rights-holder relationships and deal economics.
• Work with Warner Music Group counterparts on terms, licensing structures, and priorities.
• Provide market intelligence on AI tech, licensing innovation, and deal dynamics.
• Represent Sureel with industry bodies like DDEX and WIPO.
• Develop pricing/packaging for API usage, enterprise fees, and revenue share.
• Create repeatable commercial/licensing frameworks scalable across partners.
• Help shape how Sureel infrastructure is used in agreements including rights/permissions/guardrails.
