Job summary

Plaud Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a leader to define the next generation of AI-native hardware.

You will build a Hardware Product Design Center, shape device categories like AI wearables and companion devices, and lead a rocketship team across ID, UX, user research, and hardware prototyping. Collaborate with engineering, AI, and product teams to create hardware experiences that redefine interaction with AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in hardware product design or product management.
• Deep understanding of wearable devices with hands-on product design experience.
• Cross-functional leadership experience, either as a product design squad lead and/or as a people manager.

Responsibilities

• Define the next generation of AI hardware.
• Drive concept → design → prototype → product from idea to market.
• Build and lead a rocketship design team including ID, UX, user research, HMI, and hardware prototyping.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI, and product teams to create breakthrough hardware experiences.
