They focus on leveraging AI to unlock new business value, streamline decision-making, and create scalable automation solutions. They provide enterprise AI strategies that are platform-agnostic and designed for measurable impact.

The Role:

This role is centered on building the firm’s technical foundation. As Head of AI Engineering, you will be the first in-house engineering hire and responsible for:

• Designing and launching the company’s core AI software products from scratch.
• Developing scalable APIs, back-end systems, and AI integration workflows.
• Leading infrastructure decisions, cloud deployments, and DevOps tooling.
• Building and mentoring a world-class engineering team as the company grows.

Requirements:

• Experience working at a boutique agency or consulting firm.
• Expertise in Python, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and full-stack or backend development.
• Experience integrating LLMs via APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face) and working with AI tooling like LangChain or vector databases.
• Experience managing engineering teams
• Experience building/working on enterprise systems
• A strong foundation in DevOps (Docker, CI/CD) and startup-style product development.
• The ability to scale from solo builder to technical team leader.

As Head of AI Engineering, you can expect $275,000 – $300,000 base plus bonus, equity, health, dental, vision and 401k.
