Job summary

WWU's Office of Admissions in Bellingham, WA, seeks an Executive Director of Admissions to lead a team of about 30 staff and student workers, developing enrollment strategies and guiding recruitment for diverse undergraduate applicants.

Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the director will manage operations, collaborate across campus, ensure data-driven decisions, and uphold the university's commitment to access, diversity, and student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 8 years in college recruitment/admissions, with progressive responsibility.
• Experience supervising professional staff in higher education admissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead admissions strategy and recruitment for a diverse undergraduate student body.
• Oversee daily admissions operations including review and decision processes.
• Manage staff and build a high-performing, inclusive team.
• Collaborate with campus partners to coordinate events, communications, and outreach.
• Ensure data-driven decision making using enrollment data and reporting.
