Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Director of Accounting Operations to lead the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including the monthly close, data integrity, controls, treasury, and team development. This high-visibility role requires deep GAAP knowledge, 10+ years in accounting, and strong leadership to drive process improvements across multiple functions.

The ideal candidate will oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue, manage a team (including offshore delivery), and partner with FP&A to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience managing a month-end close process.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Workday, and Excel.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end monthly close cycle with owners and deadlines.
• Ensure data tagging and chart of accounts accuracy for reporting.
• Develop and mentor accounting and operations staff; manage offshore teams.
• Design and maintain internal controls; support external audits.
• Oversee treasury operations, cash forecasts, and liquidity management.
• Collaborate with FP&A for management reporting and variance analysis.
