Job summary

Elon University School of Law Library in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Reference/Access Services Librarian to lead the Access Services department and to co-teach in the law library instructional program. The role includes supervising staff, providing legal research instruction, and delivering reference services to students and faculty.

The librarian will also manage schedules, postings, and statistics for circulation and reference, and participate in faculty liaison activities and library

Qualifications

• Master's in Library/Information Science and JD are required.
• JD holders without MLIS will be considered if library experience or qualifications exist.
• 2+ years of professional library experience, supervision preferred.
• Some scheduling flexibility during academic year; summers may require flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Access Services department and staff.
• Teach in the Legal Research program and develop instructional materials.
• Provide general reference and research assistance to Elon Law students and faculty.
• Serve as liaison to law school faculty and adjuncts; participate in library committees.
• Manage library social media accounts and support student engagement initiatives.
• Co-teach with other librarians and help update instructional materials.
